KINGFIELD – Plans for a unique celebration of Centennial Bridge and the town’s historic hotel include residents re-enacting photos taken many years ago, a writing contest and a birthday party.

Following the annual town meeting on Saturday, June 4, Kingfield residents are invited at 2 p.m. to gather at Centennial Bridge for a group photo. Once the bridge picture is taken, residents will walk over to the Herbert Hotel on Main Street and recreate a group picture taken in 1886 in front of the hotel.

After the photos are taken, a bridge birthday party will be held at the town square with cupcakes by the Orange Cat Cafe and refreshments while listening to live music by Jason Mancine.

Before all of this, the Committee for the Centennial Bridge Celebration would like to invite all Kingfield residents to join in on a writing contest. Entries can be dropped off at the Town Office on School Street or at Tranten’s on Main Street by May 31.
