FARMINGTON – A local man has been charged with gross sexual assault, following a Department of Health and Human Services referral.
Joshua Austin, 27 of Farmington, was arrested without incident on a charge of gross sexual assault on Friday, Sept. 12. According to the Farmington Police Department, Austin was arrested on a warrant after the department began an investigation based on a referral from DHHS in August.
Austin was familiar with the alleged victim, who was under the age of 18, according to Detective Marc Bowering.
