FARMINGTON – Students at the W.G. Mallett School have a new addition to their classrooms this year, thanks to the Mallett School Parent Teacher Association.

The Mallett School PTA purchased six sand/water tables for the elementary school’s kindergarten classes this year, allowing teachers to organize new activities. The tables include raised tubs that can contain any material, from sand or water to snow or rice. The tables were built locally using Hammond Lumber material with inserts purchased by the PTA.

“The new sand and water exploration tables are in our rooms and getting ample use,” teachers at Mallett School said, in a letter sent to the PTA. “The kids love them.”

Mallett PTA is kicking off their annual Ring in Spring calendar raffle,  which runs through the first day of April vacation. Tickets are $10 apiece, or three for $25, and available through the Mallett PTA’s Facebook page or by contacting the Mallett School office at 778-3529 or PTA President Nichole Ernest at 620-4922.
