Nature: Where the living is easy

3 mins read

Warmer weather is finally here and Franklin County’s many talented photographers are here to bring readers the best shots of nature and those who live in it. The basis for the Sunday collections goes back to March 2011, when author and photographer Jane Naliboff of Chesterville began sending a few pictures each week. Other photographers have since joined the effort, creating one of the Bulldog’s most widely appreciated features. If you are interested in contributing, please send photos to thedailybulldog@gmail.com.

  1. All beautiful pictures! Especially the Doe & Fawns, my favorite. I have checked on pictures of birds & couldn’t find any that looked like the picture of the last bird. I hope someone finds what it is. Even I would like to know what it is.

  2. Great photos. The last one is an partial leucistic or albino American Robin.

  3. Beautiful deer and their baby fawns. All pictures are great but I especially love the deer pictures Thank you

  4. Great photos love the deer, thank you Tom and Jim. All the photo are beautiful, thank you everyone.

  5. Amazing as always! Love the deer and the ducks on the rock.
Thanks for sharing. It’s fun to look forward to seeing what beauty nature has to offer each week.

  6. I too suggest that the unusually plumaged bird is leucistic American Robin. Good luck to have seen one. I never have.

  7. What a “catch” with the trout, Dennis! What did you take the photo with? Kelly, those close-ups are awesome! The photo of the ducks is doubly good, Ernie.

  8. How Fortunate we are to have photographers to give us pictures like these to enjoy. Our world in Maine is one to be envied. Thanks to God we live in Maine.

  9. I always enjoy the photographs of nature. My favorite today is the blue flower by Kelly Diello? I like them all. I would really hate to choose just one. My son is just starting in photography and he does well with the cheap Canon that we were able to get him. These are spectacular.

  10. I too agree that we are so fortunate to live here and enjoy all the photos that our excellent photographer ‘s share with us. Thanks to all of you.
