  1. really less than 500 people are concerned about the amount of their tax bill

  2. how ad that only 423 voters turned out to vote…my theory is…is you did not vote, you have NO right to b*&^% about anything!!

  3. I for one is not surprised by the timing of the news our taxes will be going up (that we all new was coming except for maybe the people with their heads buried in the sand and voted our town budget in). Meanwhile all of us that voted this budget down are just sitting back thinking WTH were you all thinking??? Our town manager and selectmen fed you a line that the budget was reduce by a mere 300000 + Our highway and paving budget is almost as much as other towns budgets. Other towns have half the highway crews we have and run their town office with as few as two employees. People in this town won’t even be able to sell their homes to get away for the craziness of our town government. They must all have very deep pockets of which all the retirees in this town don’t. When is the spending going to stop? When people can’t afford to pay their taxes and support the high wages and large number of people this town employs. We need to start taking some lessons from our neighbors and vote the town budgets down until they are affordable. Of course we taxpayers really have no idea what the actual yes or no vote was because that doesn’t seem to be public knowledge! It is way pass time for the taxpayers in Jay to say ENOUGH!
