INDUSTRY – A pick-up truck went off Route 43 in Industry and rolled over on Monday afternoon after police say the driver suffered a medical emergency.

James Cesario, 50, of West Farmington was driving southwest on Route 43/Industry Road in a late model Ford F350 pick-up truck when he had a medical emergency, said Deputy Bradley Scovil of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

“He said he blacked out,” Scovil said, before the truck veered off the road and rolled over.  The pick-up came to rest in the ditch off the road. The accident occurred just before the Silver Birch Lane intersection as he headed toward Allen’s Mills at Clearwater Lake.

Emergency crews were called at 1:56 p.m.

Cesario was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital via a NorthStar emergency medical services ambulance. A hospital spokeswoman said he was undergoing treatment at the facility.

Industry Fire Department personnel assisted at the scene with traffic control.
