FARMINGTON – After 8 years downtown Reboot Computer Repair reopened its shop a block away and added another employee to meet the growing demands for its electronic services.

Reboot had operated out of a store space on Main Street until the building sold and they found themselves needing a new home, said Reboot owner Caleb Dorr.

He found the perfect space for repairing all things electronic next to The Roost restaurant at 187 Main Street and reopened his shop just a month after closing the store. Due to the increasing demands for service of computers, cell phones, tablets, and TVs, he added a partner, Ryan Alexander.

The pair are close friends having grown up in Farmington a block from each other and both graduating in 2000 from Mt. Blue High School. While attending the high school Dorr and Alexander also took the computer repair class offered at Foster Career and Technical Education Center and found the class something they both had a keen interest in pursuing as a career.

Coming around full circle, Reboot hosted an intern from Ricard Wilde’s Computer Technology class at Foster Tech last fall. It was the same class they took that led them into a career.

Both say they are glad to be back working after reopening their shop.

“We got in here as quick as we could,” Dorr said. “I really enjoy this and I like our new location.” The shop can be accessed from the Main Street door at 187 and down the stairs or from the street level parking lot in the back of the building. They also provide a pick-up and drop-off service if a customer has a hard time bringing in a heavy computer.

“I’ve always enjoyed working in Farmington,” Dorr said. “It’s a great community.”

Stop in at the shop or call 778-3035 for more information.
