If this was pictures of THIS 4th of July..I too am very disappointed that I see only 2 mask in site, and they are a lot closer than 6ft! I am very disappointed in the Sherriff, and other officials there, as they should be enforcing the mandate! THANK YOU to the 2 ladies who do have their masks on!
No masks and no social distancing. Just for the record during the pandemic I’ve hit a deer and been warned for speeding and both times officers from both the SO and FPD never wore masks though I did. I just find it interesting that’s all since they are public servants.

This is discouraging. Being patriotic is about more than just waving a flag. If we don’t all start rowing in the same direction than I fear what the fall and winter will look like. We’ve been pretty lucky here in Maine, but lots of rural states have seen cases rise to problematic levels and we certainly could too.

The CDC’s policy guidance encourages the use face coverings as their studies show that face coverings ‘may’ ( expresses a possibility) reduce the spread of a respiratory virus. Their studies lack evidence they are effective in preventing the spread of corona virus.
There are studies showing evidence that wearing facecoverings reduce blood & tissue oxygenation- which can be deadly- while increasing carbon dioxide levels. They also increase the risk of infection & spread of viral illness, hinder detoxification that occurs via exhalation, impairing the immune system.
Also, some masks have been found to contain carcinogens putting people at risk of inhaling toxic chemicals and having them come in contact with their skin.
Let’s not mention the financial implications of the folks pushing the PPE, RX and vaccines associated with the novel coronavirus. The chances of healthy people under age 70 dying from the virus is the same as getting hit by lightening. This is not about keeping you safe, this is about your fears and controlling you.

We went to Portland for the first time earlier this week (two different grocery stores and a gas station) and couldn’t believe that we saw 100% compliance on masking. I find it interesting that as a country the numbers are “rising” yet our hospitals are still empty, healthcare workers are still out of work and our cemeteries are not busting at the seams with covid fatalities. Ok, so more people are catching it…big deal. people catch the cold and the flu and a zillion other flu-like/cold-like viruses every damn day but we dont shut down the country for it. People die from the cold, the flu, pneumonia and even bug bites every day too. the mass majority of people clearly are NOT worried because just look at the amount of people out and about trying to live a normal life (whatever that may be these days). This is NOT a global killer and we need to wake up and realize that before our country crumbles completely. You want to wear a mask, wear a mask. You want to stay home, then stay home. The CDC has flip-flopped it’s position on face coverings several times since March. The ‘rules’ differ by state and are constantly changing.
The CDC’s policy guidance encourages the use face coverings as their studies show that face coverings ‘may’ ( expresses a possibility) reduce the spread of a respiratory virus. Their studies lack evidence they are effective in preventing the spread of corona virus.
There are studies showing evidence that wearing facecoverings reduce blood & tissue oxygenation- which can be deadly- while increasing carbon dioxide levels. They also increase the risk of infection & spread of viral illness, hinder detoxification that occurs via exhalation, impairing the immune system.
Also, some masks have been found to contain carcinogens putting people at risk of inhaling toxic chemicals and having them come in contact with their skin.
Let’s not mention the financial implications of the folks pushing the PPE, RX and vaccines associated with the novel coronavirus. The chances of healthy people under age 70 dying from the virus is the same as getting hit by lightening. This is not about keeping you safe, this is about your fears and controlling you.
The elderly and the vulnerable know who they are, their Drs. and caregivers know who they are. They are free to decide whether to wear a face covering or not. I am free to decide whether I am in that category and it is not my responsibility to ‘make you FEEL safe’. Feelings are not facts.

The CDC has flopped a little because it’s a government agency controlled by the White House. Independent scientist, doctors, and universities have been very clear for a long time that masks work. I know many doctors on the front lines that have seen it all and are extremely scared but what this is doing to people, old are during and young are having permanent damage. I truly don’t understand how people think this is a big media scare tactic. It’s real, kills people, and simple steps can be taken to control it but too many people are too ignorant to suck it up and act like an adult.

No, Suzie. You’re confusing the mask mandate (which is required throughout Maine) with a recent mandate for specific counties to enforce it (which just came out about a week ago). This has been in effect since April. But this is exactly the sort of disinformation that’s spreading and why we have such poor compliance locally. We went to Portland for the first time earlier this week (two different grocery stores and a gas station) and couldn’t believe that we saw 100% compliance on masking. I honestly felt safer down there. Or at least less annoyed by other people.

No one likes wearing a mask. I take mine off as soon as I get in my car or house. We do it for others, to show respect and to help curb the spread of the virus. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s proven to help. I don’t understand how people can be so uncaring about others. I listen to the scientists and medical professionals on what are the best practices for us all to be safe as possible. I don’t call a plumber to fix my car, or hire a mechanic to wire my house. I call on people who are experts in their fields. The experts overwhelmingly say masks help. Shouldn’t we all do what we can to help keep people safe? I know 4 people now that have had COVID. The nursing homes have been very hard hit. In Franklin County, we haven’t had a lot of cases yet. If we all do what we can, maybe we can keep it that way. Please, people, let’s behave with some humanity. Wear a mask when you’re out. It’s really not that hard.

I don’t like wearing my mask but I do when in a store. Last time I was in Farmington Hannaford, most customers were wearing masks. I was in Farmington Dollar Tree two days ago and saw the 3 working employees not wearing masks and I was the only customer wearing mask.
Someone posted that the hospitals are empty. If it is said in this space and it counters the Democrat narrative, then we know it must be true.
I was not surprised that CNN, the Fake News channel reports today that 56 Florida ICUs are at maximum capacity.

It’s not hard to find someone that goes against the grain, but well over 99% of the medical field sees this as a major problem. It goes well beyond the survival rate. We have no cure, no vaccine, people are getting it twice, it destroys your body with permanent damage, and it’s taking needed medical care and resources away from other patients. It’s great Maine has small numbers, lets keep them that way. People don’t die from social distancing, eating at home, and wearing a mask.
