  1. The first picture above by Don Waterhouse, is a Yellow Swallowtail butterfly.

  2. Lovely pictures, but the butterfly is not a monarch. Looks like a yellow swallowtail - I'm sure some biologists will get on and give us the proper I.D.

    However,' a butterfly by any other name would still be as lovely' - with apologies to William Shakespeare
