  1. I'm so bummed that this isn't on a weekend! I won't be able to make it this year :(

  2. If this was on a weekend, I would suspect that more guests would be present, since many individuals are working during the weekdays. I also suspect that the more individuals attending this event would have a much larger impact on the events retailers and downtown storefronts/businesses.

Is there a specific explanation why having the Summerfest on a Friday is more beneficial to the Farmington community as a whole?

  3. i was disappointed with no street dance later tonite and no more food vendors . this year was different we would say.

  4. i really liked the broadway layout this year. before, it felt like too much space in the middle, and not enough space in front of the local businesses. this time, when you walked up the middle you had a closer connection to both sides of the displays. (made me think of "surround sound.") and i liked the music in the middle, facing across instead of up and down. (but it must have been pretty hot for the musicians, playing for an hour in the direct sun.)

  5. I've been going to the downtown festival for about ten years now. Strawberry festival, summer festival, moonlight madness, whatever it has been called, it's been on Fridays, Saturday, and both. The attendance On Fridays has usually been better then on Saturdays. People go away for the weekends and don't stay in town. Town is dead on he weekend with very few people. Most of the events continue after regular working hours to accommodate those working during the day. Thank you organizers.

  6. Summer fest was not much of a "fest." Who needs booths for political candidates and banks? There didn't seem to even be much for sales at the stores this year except for Mooseville. What's up? It seems to get smaller every year...

  7. The Fundraising Committee at Old South Church wishes to extend a prayerfilled "Thank you" to everyone in the community that made this year's Pie On The Porch a great success. The pies and desserts were yummy...and the music outstanding...! We look forward to next year :)

  8. Thanks to the organizers and participants of Summerfest 2012. My family and I had a great time. Period.

  9. Thank you to all the volunteers and community members who work hard to keep this event going.
