WILTON – A traffic stop by Maine State Police in the downtown resulted in a local woman being charged with five drug-related misdemeanors Thursday afternoon.

  1. “Another slap on the hands” you guys are starting to sound like a broken record.

  2. It is a broken record. Law Enforcement does their best to get drugs out of our communities and the penalty does nothing to make it a deterrant. Thanks for the work of our police agencies

  3. Thank you to our police doing a great job. Also Thank You to the daily bulldog for reporting on these cases so neighbors know who they are and protect your familys from them seeing their picture helps community member keep an eye on them.

  4. We need better laws and judges to enforce them. The Men and Women who protect our counties can only arrest, it takes the JUDGES to give tougher sentences. Stand up petition for harsher sentences instead of complaining about it. BE THE one who petitions for Change. Many thanks to our Men and women that protect and serve.

  5. I really wish the courts were harder on these people so we didn’t have to sound like a broken record.
These drugs are killing people, breaking up families and increasing other crime in our area.
Time for a punch to the face instead of a slap to the hand!

  6. what we need is a death penalty for all transgressions from dirty looks to skipping church all the way up to the most egregious crimes such as enjoying hair bands.

  7. How much time will she get for having that big bag/paper clip and TWO, that’s right TWO lighters! Not to mention the 3 empty bags. Scary stuff people. Gotta love the “big bust” photos

  8. The average cost nationwide for each year of jail time is $31,000. Time to put your money where your mouths are people. Dig deep in YOUR pockets for tougher sentencing.

  9. For those who think this isn’t a big deal… How many people do you think were using those needles?! When your family member comes home with HEP or HIV/AIDS etc. from trying these drugs or accidentally picking themselves on one playing on the playground, your tunes will change! They just found a needle like this in Wilton, fully exposed for children to pick up.

  10. This lady obviously needs medical treatment and help to deal with her addiction. Putting her in prison solves nothing.

  11. Just so everyone knows it is the District Attorney’s who make the deals with the Attorney’s. The Judge just imposes the sentence.

  12. Jay Voter is the voice of reason here. Treatment is the only way to cure an addict.
