FARMINGTON – University of Maine at Farmington Director of Athletics Julie Davis and Fitness and Recreation Director Jim Toner are pleased to announce the renewed sponsorship with University Credit Union. This marks the third, three-year sponsorship agreement that the credit union has extended to UMF Athletics and the first time the agreement has included the University’s Fitness and Recreation Center.
“This relationship has allowed UCU to support UMF Athletics with their goals of developing their student-athletes while also providing facilities and support to our local community,” UCU Branch Manager Beth Beaudoin said. “We know that UMF Athletics and the Fitness and Recreation Center play a big role in our community and we are grateful to support their sustained efforts.”
“The UMF Athletics, Fitness and Recreation departments are very appreciative of the support extended to us through UCU. They believe in our vision and are playing a key role in helping us deliver on mission,” said Davis. “Their leadership with sponsorship has set the stage for others local businesses to also support our program needs. We are especially excited to include the FRC in this agreement and trust it will help them spark expanded sponsorship opportunities that will benefit the campus and community membership.”
Funds from sponsorships typically go towards the purchase of one-time items, special services/events not covered in the regular operating budget.
