FARMINGTON – A Wilton couple facing allegations of sexual contact with a minor appeared in court Monday after they were indicted on a combined 18 counts of violating conditions of their release.
Jamie C. Ouellette, 38, and Tami L. Ouellette, 43, both of Wilton, were previously indicted on one count of felony unlawful sexual contact by the Franklin County grand jury, as well as felony visual sex aggression against a child under the age of 12. The Ouellettes and a third individual, Anna Larochelle, 24 of Wilton, were indicted after Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and Wilton Police Department investigators executed a search warrant at the Cemetery Road address in February 2015 after receiving a referral from an adult.
Last week, the Franklin County grand jury handed down new indictments against the Ouellettes. Jamie Ouellette was indicted on eight counts of violating the conditions of release, all Class felonies, as well as two counts of tampering with with a witness, also Class C felonies. Tami Ouellette was indicted on seven counts of violating the conditions of release and one count of tampering with a witness, all Class C felonies.
According to the indictments as recited by Justice William Stokes, the Ouellettes are alleged to have had contact with each other on dates that stretch across several months in 2015, despite no contact provisions set in place. In Jamie Ouellette’s case, seven counts of violating the conditions of release relate to Tami Ouellette, while one count relates to contact with Larochelle. The tampering allegations relate to Ouellette and the alleged victim.
Jamie Ouellette has been in jail since February 2015. Tami Ouellette has been out on bail.
The Ouellettes pleaded not guilty on the new charges.
