WILTON – Town officials, local residents and members of the Wilton Group turned out for a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the new owners of the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant Friday morning.
Kelly Li and Ben Bin recently purchased the business, after working in New York City for several years. Bin, who worked as a cook in the city for 10 years, and Li, who moved from China four years ago, decided to relocate to Wilton after reading about the town in a Chinese publication. They’ve been operating the Great Wall restaurant for roughly two months.
“We’d like to welcome the two of you to Wilton,” Wilton Group member Betty Shibles said. The group presented Li and Bin with welcome baskets, and stayed for lunch.
I am glad for the ribbon cutting otherwise I may have never known this new business was in Wilton and has been for two months now. Glad you’re here and I will have to give you a try for sure.
Congratulations to Kelly Li & Ben Bin on their new venture. We wish them all the best. God Bless you both.
I’ve eaten at the new restaurant twice and found the food was delicious both times. I highly recommend it!!
Good Luck Kelly and Ben!!!
Welcome to Wilton
YOU MUST TRY the crab ragoons!! I promise you will return again for more.
I just tried it.
Let me tell you,,there were 5 of us and every one of us thought every single item was superb.
Great food!
Glad they are here.
This place is great. I really liked the former owners and we miss them but the new owners have improved the food and made the interior nicer. Lets help make it a big success.
Welcome to Wilton, new neighbors. Our family will be back to patronize your business again. And again. And again.
I would like to see more traditional Chinese food. I can’t find anything that compares to the food that I got inTaiwan or San Francisco Chinatown.
Great to have good Chinese in the area!
I love reading this!!!
But, yes, Welcome to Wilton!
