RANGELEY – Community Concepts’ Big Brothers Big Sisters program coordinators give thanks to the Franklin County community for supporting its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake events in both Wilton and Rangeley. The events were hosted at Meadow Lanes and Moose Alley- both great facilities.

We were pleased to have so many local businesses step up to donate door prizes, sponsor the event and even bowl with teams, said Kristen Gilley, the program’s manager. Event sponsors included Meadow Lanes, Moose Alley, Hannaford, Perry Transport, Franklin Savings Bank, Rangeley Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, Hillside Sports Club, IEC, Farmington Emblem Club, Bee Line Cable and Suite One Salon.

“It is a great feeling to witness the support for local youth in our communities,” she said.

Chief Jack Peck of the Farmington Police Department, bowled in Rangeley and walked away with the First Responders Champion trophy. A grand prize pack was awarded to Connor Hufnagel. Individuals received an entry into the prize pack for every $100 raised.

Collectively, nearly $7,200 was raised with the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign in Franklin County. Big Brothers Big Sisters is still working to raise funds to sustain and continue programing in Franklin County. Interested in helping out? Contact Kristen at kgilley@community-concepts.org.
