PHILLIPS – A benefit auction and dance to support Taylor Lane, 13, of Phillips will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Nostalgia Tavern in Kingfield. The auction will be held from 6-8 p.m., followed by dancing with Dream ‘Big Karaoke. A suggested donation of $5 at the door, with all proceeds going to Lane.

She is the daughter of Karen Holbrook and Shane Lane and was recently diagnosed with Lymphatic Nodular Predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma-a rare form of lymphoma. Taylor Lane will be having several chemotherapy treatments in Portland and needs help with travel expenses and medical expenses.

Organizer Tanya Morgan said currently more than 130 items have been collected for the auction. Included are: firewood, heating oil, wood pellets, tools, day hunts, stays in Rangeley, 14 yards of loam, a Budweiser cooler, gift baskets, wooden wagon, snowmobile gear, helmet, lift tickets, Storyland, Santa’s Village and York’s Wild Kingdom tickets, gift certificates for local hair salons, restaurants, stores, Uncle Henry’s and Irregular subscriptions, homemade items and many, many more.

Cash donations will be gratefully accepted at a Skowhegan Savings account named, “The Taylor Lane Benefit Account.” Anyone wishing to send a check directly to the family, should make it out to: Karen Holbrook and send it to Tanya Morgan, 77 Bridge St., Phillips, ME 04966.
