WILTON – Care & Comfort and the employees of their Wilton branch recently donated the proceeds from their annual Jean Day Fundraiser to the Western Maine Community Action Fuel Assistance Program.
“For over 20 years our company and employees have been committed to helping our neighbors,” said Susan D. Giguere, CEO and Founder of Care & Comfort. She added, “These are very difficult times for so many in the communities we serve and WMCA struggles everyday to assist those making the choice between eating and heating their homes. Our employees chose the Fuel Assistance Fund as this year’s recipient to help them meet this challenge.”
Jean Day, launched over 10 years ago, is a collaborative fundraiser between Care & Comfort and its employees. For a $2 donation on Fridays the staff can leave their normal work attire at home and wear jeans. The company matches every dollar raised and at the end of the year the employees select the recipients.
