Congressman Golden holding town hall in Farmington

FARMINGTON – Congressman Jared Golden will hold a health care-focused town hall on Tuesday, March 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. At the event, Golden will answer questions from Mainers and discuss his work to lower costs and improve access to care in the state.

“I’ve been all around the Second District since taking office, meeting Mainers in their communities, listening to them, and finding ways we can work together to get things done for our state,” said Golden. “I’m looking forward to hearing from folks in Franklin County and discussing solutions that make health care more affordable for everyone in our state.”

Over his two and half months in office, Golden has made a priority of being open and accessible to his constituents. Since January, he has welcomed Mainers to open houses in each of his district offices, held open office hours around the state, and joined Q&A sessions with Mainers from the Maine AARP, University of Maine Fort Kent, the Maine AFL-CIO, and others.

The event will be held at the Bass Room in Franklin Memorial Hospital, located at 111 Franklin Health Commons. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The town hall is open to the public and free of charge. Since space is limited, anyone wishing to attend must pre-register using the link here.

  1. I am unable to attend this event but I would like to see respite care addressed. It is extremely difficult to find a facility that will take a disabled person for a few days or a week so that a caregiver can visit famiky members knowing that their loved one is being taken care of. It is all about the money for these nursing homes. They want full time residents. Caregivers need the help but it is either too ecpensive or just not availabl
