CVA inducts members to new National Honor Society chapter

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — On Friday, Nov. 14, Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA) inducted six inaugural members into its newly formed National Honor Society (NHS) chapter. The NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The founding members of the new chapter include: Liz Mutina, daughter of Lisa Marie Miller of Vasselboro; Anna Drumstas of Carrabassett Valley, daughter of Andrea and James Drumstas; Erica Jenson, daughter of Mark and Cynthia Jenson of Waterville; Grant Erickson from Scituate, Mass., son of John and Kristen Erickson; Madeline Chamberlin of Carrabassett Valley, daughter of Eric and Doreen Chamberlin; and Noah Fournier, son of Mark and Venise Fournier of Carrabassett Valley.

During her remarks at the induction ceremony, CVA Head of School, Kate Punderson said, “Madeline, Liz, Grant, Noah, Erica and Anna – congratulations on your membership into the Carrabassett Valley Academy chapter of the National Honor Society. I am proud to have you as our inaugural class of inductees. You have worked hard academically and been exemplary leaders and community members beyond the classroom as well. Your membership is well deserved.”
