Farmington police & fire departments’ Community Fund Raising Barbecue Monday

FARMINGTON – Farmington Police Department and the Farmington Fire & Rescue are hosting a Community Fund Raising Barbecue on Memorial Day May 30, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Farmington Municipal Building, 153 Farmington Falls Road.

All proceeds and donations will be sent to and benefit the Lone Survivor Foundation restores, empowers, and renews hope for wounded service members and their families. The Lone Survivor Foundation provides support for wounded service members, their spouses, children, and caregiver(s) by empowering them with helpful techniques and tools addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), military sexual trauma and chronic pain. The Lone Survivor Foundation is a Federal 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2010 by Navy SEAL (Ret.) Marcus Luttrell.

What you get for your donation: one hamburger, one hot dog, one bag of chips and one can of soda. Come join us in raising money for an incredible foundation and help renew hope and empower our service men and women. Also a performance by local country artist Mark Gentle.

The event is sponsored in part by Walmart with assistance from the Farmington American Legion.
