FARMINGTON – Franklin County’s Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Services (SAPARS) would like to say thank you to Franklin Savings Bank for generously sponsoring the first annual Teal Ribbon Run/Walk 5K in Farmington. The event took place on Saturday, Sept. 13 with over 40 people participating.

The top three males finishers were: Troy Hall (17 minutes), Ethan Pelletier (19:18 minutes), and Nick Citriglia (19:29 minutes). The top three females finishers were: Melissa Audy (29:21 minutes), Laura Columbia (31:20), and Kellie Sanborn (31:33 minutes).

This inaugural Teal Ribbon run raised over $1,100. All of the money will help to support services for sexual assault survivors in our community.

SAPARS would also like to thank the following businesses for their prize donations: State Farm, Devaney Doak & Garrett Booksellers, Narrow Guage Cinema, Thai Smile and Sushi Restaurant, and Stone Hearth Café.

We look forward to doing this event again in 2015!
