Ghost Train returns on Oct. 1

PHILLIPS – The Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes RR Museum is pleased to announce the return of the Ghost Train, Saturday Oct 1.

The Phillips Middle School eighth-grade class will provide the spooks, decorations, and concessions, as the steam powered trains wind through woods and fields. This family fun event begins at 6:30 p.m., tickets will be sold until 9:30 p.m., trains will continue to run until all ticket holders get to ride.

Monson RR No. 3, on lease to the SRRL by the Maine Narrow Gauge RR Museum, will power regularly scheduled trains from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and continue to power the Ghost Train runs. No. 3 will cover all regularly scheduled runs on Sunday.

The Railroad will finish its season with regularly scheduled steam powered trains on Saturday, Oct 8 and Sunday, Oct 9.
