Gifford’s 30th anniversary celebration is Saturday

FARMINGTON - Gifford’s Ice Cream will host a party for the community this Saturday, July 28, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its stand in Farmington.

The celebration promises fun for everyone, featuring live music from Mark Phillips, dancing with Mad Louie, face painting and balloons. Giveaways will include award-winning whoopie pies from Douin’s Market and piggy banks from Bangor Savings Bank.

Adults and kids can test their skills with Gifford’s Speed Pitch for the chance to win L.L.Bean camping gear, and the first 30 people to correctly guess and order the day’s “mystery flavor” will win a quart of Gifford’s Ice Cream. The L.L.Bean Bootmobile will pay a visit, and a regular-size scoop of Muddy Bean Boots ice cream will be $1.99.
