KINGFIELD — The signature summer concert event of western Maine continues to be the Kingfield POPS and while this event is still months away, early bird tickets are available now for holiday gift giving.

The outdoor festival will be held June 25, 2016 and will once again feature the Bangor Symphony Orchestra.

The performance schedule will be announced in the coming months but in past years, the Kingfield POPS has commissioned collaborations between artists and the symphony for the release of exclusive compositions from artists such as Jonathan Edwards, Sultans of String, Noel Paul Stookey, Rustic Overtones, Dave Mallet and more.

Thanks to the generous support of its sponsors, ticket prices have not increased since the inaugural event in 2003. Adult Early Bird tickets for the 14th annual Kingfield POPS are available for $20 through May 15 at the Tranten’s and Skowhegan Savings Bank in Kingfield and Farmington or online at kingfieldpops.com. As always, tickets for youth 17 and under are free.

The mission of the Kingfield POPS is to provide music and art programming for regional residents, youth and schools. The Kingfield POPS board of directors believe that a vibrant arts environment enhances quality of life and creates opportunities for economic development. Visit the website for more information.
