New Balance donates shoes, clothing for MSAD 58’s students

STRONG – As the 2015-2016 school year begins, MSAD 58’s students have again been the recipients of a generous donation from New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc.

In total, 97 pairs of athletic shoes as well as various pieces of athletic apparel will be equally shared among district schools’ students. The donation is given to the district’s school nurses who will administer the shoes and clothing.

Georgiana Wright of the New Balance Charitable Program Specialist, ME, presented Wendy Pond, RN, Strong School’s nurse with the donation.

Also in attendance was NewBie, the New Balance mascot, who expects to make future appearances in the district. MSAD 58 has partnered with New Balance since 2008 to supply students with athletic footwear.
