NEW SHARON – Prize winners have been announced for the annual Averill Butterfield Memorial Scarecrow Reunion in New Sharon.
The creations fill a field between Route 2 and Post Office Road. First prize winners were Douin’s Market, most patriotic; E.J. Pond & Sons, best use of recycled materials; tie, Cape Cod Hill School and Hooligans for Hope, most original; and Casey and Kiera Adams, funniest.
The project is sponsored by the New Sharon Community Improvement Team.

The Averill Butterfield Memorial Scarecrow Reunion in New Sharon is a great time for us all. We get together with Team Addilyn and enjoy a morning of creating and Laughing and spending a fun time making the scarecrow display. This year, as well as the past years, we had about 12 of us that gathered and created. I look forward to next year. I would just love to see all the area businesses as well as individuals make and create. It really is fun.
