Pet of the Week features those who are ready for adoption from the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
Hi! I’m Eddie! I’m a 1 year old pit bull. I’m very friendly and love going for walks! I’m not wild about children, so I’d rather be in a home with just adults. Come visit me today! I’d love to meet you.
Franklin County Animal Shelter is located at 550 Industry Road in Farmington. Call 778-2638 or visit the site here.
I heartily recommend pit bulls. we’ve owned a number of them. I don’t know about Eddie, but those we had/have were very good family dogs and a lot of fun.
My pitbull is the most loyal, loving dog. She was hyper for the first couple of years, and still gets really excited when we play ball or I ask if she wants to go for a ride, but she listens well and is very smart. I hate that pitbulls have a bad reputation because their idiot owners exploited them. I wish I had room for Eddie.
Over the years the press has needed a bête noire for audience share or readership, and the bête noire these days is the Pit Bull. Obviously, the DAILY BULLDOG does not need that help—-thank you. Other bête noire breeds, over the years, have been The German Shepard, the Rottweiler, and the Doberman Pincer. The ASPC dog of the year in 2013 was a Pit Bull ! Pit Bulls earlier were regarded as nanny dogs! I sure hope Eddie gets a good home. Take a look at this array of nanny pit bull pictures at this linc.
