‘Pie on the Porch’ serving up entertainment for Summer Festival

FARMINGTON – Pull up a chair, let all your cares drift away as you enjoy a piece of fresh-home baked pie, strawberry shortcake or Front Porch Café’s old fashioned bread pudding and ice cold beverages at Pie On The Porch during downtown Farmington’s Summer Festival celebration.

Sit back and relax in a festive setting of red, white and blue on Saturday, July 26 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holman Parish House, 227 Main Street, Farmington. Seating will be available on the lawn on or on the porch.

Musical entertainment and storytelling will begin at 1 pm with Chrissy Poulsen of Belgrade at the helm as MC, performer and sound engineer. The entertainment lineup includes a variety of music styles from many individuals, duos and groups. Some of the musical talent scheduled to perform include Golden Oak, Thad Gunther and friends, Mark Phillips, Lori Grassette and Bill Hoyt, Native Oak, an accapella quartet from Waterville, Brenden Hickey and friends, The Merry Plinksters ,and Native Oak .

In case of rain Pie On The Porch will be held next door in the Old South First Congregational Church. The cost for a serving of fresh home baked pie with whipped cream topping or bread pudding and beverage will be $4. Al-a-mode with vanilla ice cream will be available for an additional charge of $.50.
