RANGELEY – The Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the July 3rd in the Park event was a resounding success for all involved. Visitors were treated to live entertainment, a variety of delicious foods and fun activities for the kids. The beautiful lakeside park provided an ideal backdrop for the event and enticed visitors to come enjoy the beauty of the park and take advantage of all that the area non-profits had to offer. Participating non-profits had combined gross sales of almost $10,000.
The Chamber of Commerce will be donating over $200 (including donations from the public) to the Town of Rangeley, earmarked specifically for the fireworks show the town puts on for all to enjoy.
This was the second year of the renaissance of “July 3rd in the Park” tradition and the Chamber plans to grow the event each year, with even more of the non-profit groups participating, providing additional variety for all visitors.
Next up on the Chamber’s slate of major summer events is the 23rd Annual Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, scheduled for Aug. 17 (rain date Aug. 19). This much anticipated event promises to be the best tournament to date, continuing with some of the popular new features (men’s/women’s mixed teams and a “golden” tee to name just a couple) introduced last year. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
