RANGELEY – Joanne Chapman has served the Rangeley Region through the RRHAT program for more than 7 years. She will be leaving the position at the end of June, 2011.

Caroline Bates-Hoffman will be taking over the position as of July 1, 2011.

The RRHAT (Rangeley Region Health Appointment Transportation) van has been in existence since January 1, 2003. The program was started with a Community Development Block Grant written by the Town of Rangeley. When the time frame for the grant was over, the towns of Rangeley, Sandy River, and Dallas continued to fund the program along with donations from passengers and community members. The van is used on average three times per week. Residents are transported by volunteer drivers to Rangeley Family Medicine, Rangeley Rehab and Wellness Pavilion, doctors’ offices in Strong and Farmington, Farmington Memorial Hospital, Waterville, Augusta, Lewiston, and Portland.

If you need to be transported to an appointment, or, if you would like to volunteer as a driver, please call: Caroline Bates-Hoffman at 864-9070.
