Rangeley Public Library to celebrate 10th annual Summer Gala on July 31

RANGELEY – This summer will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Rangeley Public Library’s Summer Gala celebrations. After nine years hosting this annual event, the RPL Trustees want to mark this 10th year as a special milestone, allowing the community to come together and offer support while celebrating and enjoying our “nationally treasured” library on the evening of Thursday, July 31.

This year the RPL Board has decided to do things a little differently. There will be a live and silent auction including, dining opportunities, original artwork, jewelry and Red Sox tickets, as well as certificates for a wide variety of services. This year, the ticket price will include a buffet meal catered by Bald Mountain Camps with creations by Chef Brian as well as an open bar.

The evening will also include a little “time traveling;” through the help of modern technology you will get a glimpse at the library’s history, and some of the wonderful programs it has provided. It’s a chance to see where the RPL has been and where it is going.

Open invitations for the Thursday, July 31 Gala have been mailed out, but seating is limited. Everyone interested is encouraged to respond quickly to reserve their seat for this year’s celebration. No doubt it will be another memorable evening and a wonderful chance to show your support for our special library.
