JAY – Here is a listing of events happening at Spruce Mountain High School this week for the week of May 4-10, 2015:
Advanced Placement Exams:
AP Testing begins on Monday, May 4th. Tests will be held at the Knight’s of Columbus Hall
Monday – AP Environmental Science Exam, Tuesday, AP Calculus Exam, Wednesday, English Literature & Composition Exam & Friday, US History Exam.
Smarter Balance Testing:
All students in the junior class will take the Smarter Balance National Test in their Math and English Classes. These tests will be administered from May 4th to May 29th.
KVAC Honors Banquet:
The KVAC Honors Banquet honors the top 10 students from each of the schools in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference. This banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 6PM at the Augusta Civic Center. Parents are also invited to attend.
Hands on History:
There will be a lecture of “Hands on History” held at the Portland Public Library on Thursday, May 7th. David Blight, Professor at Yale, will be the guest speaker. This is the culminating event at the Maine Historical Society for the Local & Legendary Grant Project.
Prom:
The Spruce Mtn. High School Class of 2016 will host this year’s Prom on Saturday, May 9th. The theme of the Prom is “Rustic Romance.” It will be held in the cafeteria of the Middle School from 8-12 p.m.
