STRONG – The Youth Group of the Strong United Methodist Church recently delivered personal care items to the United Methodist Economic Ministry in Salem, after a month of friendly competitions designed to encourage their teams to make donations. Families facing difficult financial times find it especially hard to purchase these types of items because they are not covered in food assistance programs.

The group’s members, Megan Marble, Trenton Reed, Landen Marble, Risa Marble, Trey Reed, Katlyn Marble, Keely Marble, Denny Marble, Jasmine Smith, Michael Smith, Jordan Smith, and Nate Smith, would like to thank their church family for providing the youth ministry and for always generously supporting its mission projects.

  1. What a wonderful thing for this group of young people to do. The Strong United Methodist Church should be proud of themselves for “raising” this great group of kids. Certainly their parents deserve a lot of credit also.

  2. Awesome job! I am so proud of you all and thank you Liz for your leadership and heart.

  3. This is a true blessing.
As mananger of the United Methodist Economic Ministry Food Pantry, (where these items will be distributed),
this donation could not have come at a better time. Our supply was getting really low.
A huge THANK YOU to the Strong United Methodist Church Youth Group, Leaders and Congregation for this donation. You have certainly raised a wonderful youth group.
    Blessings to all who donated.
    Yvonne Woodcock
    United Methodist Food Pantry Manager

  4. Great group of young people. They should be very proud. Family and community are so important but have seemed to be forgotten in the last few decades.
