SALEM – The first college bill can be terrifying for students and parents! Even if you have gotten scholarships, applied for FAFSA and have a plan for paying for college, the little details and specific steps required to pay that first bill can be confusing.
This, evening workshop to be held at 6 p.m. on July 27 at Mt Abram High School, Salem Township, will be presented by Jennifer Lanphear a College Access Counselor for the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) and Ron Milliken the director of financial aid at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Together they will answer your questions about, installment payments, parent loans, student loans, how scholarships are paid out, and how federal financial aid will be disbursed.
