RUMFORD – Hope Association is preparing for its 40th Annual ride-In. Held every year since 1974 this event brings area snowmobilers together with participants to raise money and, more importantly, offers participants a chance to enjoy the outdoors in a unique way.
Thanks to the generosity of local snowmobilers, the community, volunteers and the participants themselves this event has raised over $270,000 since it began.
Friends and supporters of Hope Association may purchase raffle tickets – $1 for one ticket or $5 for 6 tickets – to win cash prizes, gift certificates and other great prizes. Folks may also make a donation directly to the Ride-In if they like. All donations provide opportunities for individuals with intellectual and related disabilities to participate in non-Medicaid reimbursable activities and to purchase much needed materials or equipment that are not paid for by state funds.
This year’s Ride-In will be held on Feb. 8, at Horizons Unlimited, 319 Swain Road, Rumford from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Prizes will be drawn at 1:30 p.m. Raffles available for cash prizes, gift certificates and other great prizes thanks to our many sponsors.
