Vintage motorcycle enthusiasts to gather in Wilton

1 min read

WILTON – The first annual Mid Winter Vintage MotoCycleMaineia event will be held on Sunday, March 10 from 1-4 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 59 High Street. The free event will give those who enjoy old motorcycles, whatever the make, a chance to gather for a pot luck lunch, chatter, stories, tall tales and bench racing. Plans are for a small bike display, mini swap meet and a showing of a classic motorcycle racing movie. The entrance and parking is behind the church.

Plans are also underway for the 2nd Annual Western Maine Lakes and Mountains Vintage Tour which will be held in July or August. The 2018 event drew riders from as far away as Bar Harbor, Buffalo and New York City with a wide variety of vintage motorcycles.

Attendees may bring a dish or snack to pass, a small leak free bike to display (36″ door), and clean parts and accessories to vend or display and something for show and tell! Smoking and alcohol are not permitted on the church grounds.

For more information, or to let us know to expect you (so we can plan beverages and have an idea of attendance) please contact Jack Cole at upcntry@telenet.net or leave a message at 897-5621.

Volunteers to help with set up and clean up greatly appreciated.
