The Herbert Hotel in Kingfield is hosting a mystery dinner theater sponsored by the Webster Library on Oct. 28 & 29.

KINGFIELD – Ida Lonn is throwing a Halloween party, and you’re invited! It’s all part of her grand plan to prove the Herbert Hotel is not haunted, as she very much would like to expand the hotel to accommodate more guests and bring more business into town.

She’s even hired a medium to perform a séance to chase any spirits away that might be hanging around. Other partygoers include a gang of kids who solve mysteries for a hobby, and paranormal investigators who would really like to find a ghost to increase their credibility. Throw in an Elvis impersonator, a sing-a-long with creepy songs, maybe even a Bigfoot sighting, and the evening promises to be lots of fun!

Webster Library presents “Who’s…Haunting the Herbert?” on Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29, a mystery dinner theater at the Herbert Grand Hotel in Kingfield featuring the Community Playhouse Misfits. The evening begins at 6 p.m., and dinner includes tossed salad with house dressing, dinner rolls, vegetable lasagna and meatballs with sauce; coffee, tea and ice water; and spiced apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Tickets are $30 per person, and because there are limited seats, all tickets are sold in advance. Costumes are welcomed. For information or tickets, please call 265-2052, or 265-4356.
