Wilton Library Harvest Day Oct. 1 in new outdoor space

1 min read

WILTON – On Saturday, Oct. 1, the Wilton Free Public Library will be hosting their Fifth Annual Harvest Day from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be a cider press, honeybees, angora rabbits, delicious snacks and a craft for children.

This year is extra special because with grant funding from Making Headway in Your Community, the hard work of Rocky Hill Landscaping, and the community, the library now has a brand new fenced-in outdoor space.

The space will be used for programming, events, storytimes, and for the general community to relax and enjoy the stream that runs alongside the library. Making Headway is a program of GrowSmart Maine and the Maine Downtown Center with funding provided by the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation. They will be attending the Harvest Day to celebrate, see the fence and outdoor space, as well as get ideas from the community for future projects that could make Wilton even better.

Bring your families, friends, neighbors, and anyone else who would like to come and see the new and exciting things happening at our local library.
