Flu clinic at Rangeley Family Medicine on Nov. 17

RANGELEY – Have you had your flu shot, yet? Rangeley Family Medicine will hold another flu clinic on Thursday, November 17, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the lower level of the health center. Vaccines will be available to everyone at no cost thanks to tremendous support from the Rangeley Region Health and Wellness Partnership, but donations will be appreciated. Insurances will not be billed.

According to the Maine Center for Disease Control, influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and death. Although anyone can get sick from the flu, certain populations are at a higher risk of having flu-related complications. They include young children, persons aged 50 or older, health care personnel, pregnant women, people with chronic lung disease, diabetes, heart disease, neurological conditions and certain other long-term health conditions.
