Walk for Autism April 28

FARMINGTON – The Autism Society of Maine will be hosting a Walk for Autism on April 28 at the Farmington Fairgrounds, 292 High Street. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with the walk beginning at 12 p.m.

Join the Autism Society of Maine’s Walk for Autism to participate in Autism Awareness month. Help raise money to bring more awareness, resources and programs to children, individuals and families throughout the state whose lives have been affected by autism. Walk alone or start a team- ask your friends, neighbors or coworkers to sponsor you. All money raised stays here in Maine. We have 5 walks throughout the state, pick a site near you.

Each walk will have activities, various snacks, face painting, and local first responders, and vendors from various agencies. Getting families involved with their local communities is a big part of our walks; they meet other families and have the opportunity to be part of a bigger picture.

The Walk will start at 12 noon with over 1,200 participants. You can register online at the link listed below or on site. Go to www.asmonline.org or call 1-800-273-5200 for more information. Register at www.firstgiving.com/ASMMaine/walk-for-autism-2019
