JAY – The Jay Village Water District has lifted a boil-water order issued on Saturday, Nov. 22. That order had followed a break in the water line on Main Street in the Jay Hill area.
Impacted customers may have included those on Jay Hill, Chick A Dee Ave, Allen Street, Lambert Street and the Jay Plaza. The boil order is put into place until the district can test water samples in Augusta for E.coli and coliform bacteria.
Water samples was tested at a lab in Augusta and determined safe for public consumption.
The water district wishes to express their thanks to all who were inconvenienced by this incident.
