JAY – Saturday afternoon, Jay Village Water District has lifted the boil order for those customers who were effected by the water break in Jay Village. With this release, all customers within the Jay Village Water District may now resume normal consumption of water, said Ronald J. Moreau, district treasurer.
Water samples were tested at a lab in Augusta and determined safe for public consumption.
“The water district wishes to express their thanks to all who were inconvenienced by this incident. With special thanks to all who dedicated their time and talents to getting the word out and repairing the damage to the system, and finally to those responsible for testing our water for public safety,” he said.
