WEST FARMINGTON – A car colliding with a motorcycle resulted in one driver charged with failure to yield and another receiving minor arm injuries.

On Sunday afternoon, Carol Grindle, 67, of Temple, was heading from the Post Office parking lot and crossing Bridge Street when a motorcycle collided with her 2006 Toyota.

According to police Officer Darin Gilbert’s report, Grindle said she looked both ways before crossing and didn’t see a motorcycle coming her way.

The motorcycle’s operator, Thomas Sullivan, 32, of Temple, said he couldn’t avoid hitting Grindle’s car as it exited the parking lot in front of his bike. Sullivan received non-incapacitating injuries to his arms, Gilbert said.

Grindle, who was not injured, was charged with failure to yield upon entering a public way.
