FARMINGTON – A pair of dirt bikes taken from a residence on Red Schoolhouse Road were recovered by the homeowner Sunday morning, after they were ditched a few hundred feet from the house.

According to the Farmington Police Department, the homeowner contacted police just after 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning. He informed them that two dirt bikes had been taken out of his unlocked garage sometime over the course of the night. The bikes were older models that did not require keys to start.

In the next few hours, the homeowner contacted police twice, each time informing them that he had recovered a dirt bike. Both bikes were found within a few hundred feet of the residence, in ditches.
