1/18/2019 - 2121hrs, Sgt. Scovil responded to Main Street in Kingfield regarding a medical emergency where a male had Nacarn administered to revive him. The man refused medical assistance.

1/19/2019 - 0704hrs, Deputy Morgan conducted a traffic stop on the Mercer Road in New Sharon. As a result of the stop Gene Allen (56) of Jay was arrested for OUI and transported to jail.

1/19/2019 - 0801hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a medical emergency at a residence on the Starks Road in New Sharon.

1/19/2019 - 1259hrs, Deputy Morgan arrested Christopher Tracy (25) of New Sharon at the jail after he was transported there from Kennebec County jail earlier.

1/19/2019 - 1553hrs, Sgt. Scovil responded to a report of a disabled car on route 27in New Vineyard.

1/19/2019 - 1629hrs, Deputy McCormick investigated a bad check complaint at Valley Brook Variety in Avon.

1/20/2019 - 0820hrs, Deputy Morgan and Sgt. Bean assisted State Police with a vehicle which was reported off the road with an intoxicated driver. Trooper Monahan arrested Peter Dunwoody (66) of Kingfield for OUI and transported him to jail.

1/20/2019 - 1838hrs, Sgt. Scovil assisted a motorist who had slid off the road by Ledge Hill in Chain of Ponds Twp.

1/20/2019 - 1905hrs, Deputy McCormick investigated a report of harassment via phone at a residence on Main Street in Eustis.

1/21/2019 - 0919hrs, Deputy Morgan investigated a report of criminal mischief to personal property on the Dutch Gap road in Chesterville.

1/21/2019 - 2216hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to route 27 in Coburn Gore regarding report of a single vehicle accident involving a box truck. No injuries were reported.

1/22/2019 - 0918hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a two car accident on the Lexington Road in Kingfield. No injuries were reported.

1/22/2019 - 1237hrs Sgt. Brann responded to a report of a snowmobile versus tractor trailer log truck on the Tim Pond Road Eustis. John Derea (71) of Nazareth, Pennsylvania was with a party of snowmobilers. John was operating a 2014 Arctic Cat Snowmobile and had come to the stop at where the snowmobile trail crosses Tim Pond Road. John then went to cross Tim Pond Road and failed to yield to an empty log tractor trailer unit that was going by. John ran into one of the rear tires on the trailer totaling his snowmobile. The truck sustained no damage and was owned by RC McLucas Trucking INC of Porter Maine. The truck was a 2014 Kenworth operated by David Sweetser (39) of Greenwood Maine. John sustained a possible injuries and was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by Northstar Ambulance Service. St. Brann was assisted at the scene by Maine Game Warden Dan Christianson. There are no charges pending.

1/22/2019 - 1647hrs, Deputy McCormick investigated a complaint on the East Madrid Road in Madrid where the complainant stated that the man who plows the town road had plowed snow into his driveway intentionally.

1/22/2019 - 2205hrs, Deputy Elmes assisted a stranded motorist on Main St. in Kingfield.

1/23/2019 - 1002hs, Deputy Doucette responded to Main St. in Wilton to assist the PD with a request for a K-9.

1/23/2019 - 1259hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person at the complainant’s house. The offender was gone upon arrival.

1/23/2019 - 1445hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to the Lexington Road in Kingfield regarding a report of a person standing in the road yelling at traffic as they passed by. The person was gone upon arrival.

1/23/2019 - 1512hrs, Chief Deputy Lowell responded to a report of possible illegal hunting off the Dallas Hill road in Dallas Plt. As it turned out, some local residents were just target practicing.

1/24/2019 - 1118hrs, Sgt. Brann investigated a report of damage to a guardrail made by the county snowplow contractor. DOT requested the report.

1/24/2019 - 1608hrs, Lt. St. Laurent, Detectives Stephen and Ken Charles, Deputy Doucette and Deputy Daley assisted Jay Police with a warrant on the Belanger road in Jay.

1/24/2019 - 1650hrs, Deputy McCormick investigated a complaint of a lost watch. The complainant stated he has lost his watch while skiing at Sugarloaf. The complainant then located the watch via GPS at a residence on School Street in Eustis. Deputy McCormick went to the residence and recovered the watch to the complainant.

1/24/2019 - 1850hrs, Deputy McCormick conducted a welfare check on an elderly male at a residence on School Street in Kingfield at the request of a family member of man. He was not found at home, the family called back later on stated they had located him.

1/25/2019 - 0719hrs, Sgt. Brann assisted Somerset SO with a crash that occurred on route 2 in Mercer.

1/25/2019 - 2046hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a residence on Main St in Rangeley regarding a request to remove an intoxicated woman from a residence there. Deputy Morgan offered the woman a ride in which she initially accepted, then once in the cruiser refused to utilize seatbelts. After several attempts to get the woman to comply, the woman not only refused to cooperate, she then made a fist and threatened to strike the deputy. Barbara Brackett (61) of Dallas Plt was arrested for Terrorizing and transported to Jail.

1/26/2019 - 1259hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to route 27 in North New Portland where it was reported that a juvenile was threatening to jump out of the family car. Sgt. Brann located the person and found out a similar issue occurred just a few minutes before in Kingfield. The juvenile was transported to FMH for evaluation.

1/26/2019 - 1525hrs, Deputy Morgan investigated a theft of a 2012 SnoPro snowmobile trailer ME plates B367312 containing two snowmobiles; 2019 Orange/White Black Ski-Doo and a 2010 Red Yamaha. The trailer had been parked on the Pass Road in Eustis January 7th and was discovered missing on the 9th.

1/26/2019 - 2330hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Lexington Road in Kingfield. The deer died at the scene the car sustained reportable damage.

1/27/2019 - 0040hrs, Deputy Andrew Morgan responded to a residence on Silvernoggin Lane in Madrid for a disturbance. It was reported by the complainant that her boyfriend Sean Quilty (47) of the same address was being rude and she wanted him to leave. The complainant further reported that Sean had warrants. Franklin County Dispatch confirmed that Sean Quilty had a full extradition warrant out of Georgia. As Morgan arrived on scene, Sean was located sitting on a snow bank at the end of the road. Sean was placed under arrested for fugitive from justice due to the outstanding Georgia warrant. He was then transported to the Franklin County jail.

1/27/2019 - 0848hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to the Wilton Road in Farmington to investigate an accident involving a Farmington Police cruiser. Minor injuries were reported.

1/27/2019 - 1052hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to route 2 in Wilton to assist Wilton PD with a request for a K-9.

1/27/2019 - 1441hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a report of a two car accident on the Industry Road in Industry. Minor injuries were reported.

1/27/2019 - 1657hrs, Sgt. Bean responded to a residential alarm at a residence on Church Street in New Vineyard. All was secure.

1/27/2019 - 1808hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Carthage Road in Carthage. The deer died at the scene the car sustained reportable damage.

1/27/2019 - hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on route 27 in New Vineyard. No injuries were reported.

1/28/2019 - 1037hrs, Sgt. Brann investigated a theft complaint from a residence on Kimball Pond Road in New Sharon. It was reported by the complainant that several checks were stolen from his residence there and cashed at a local bank.

1/29/2019 - 1508hrs, Lt. St. Laurent, Deputy McCormick, State Police Troop C Investigator Reid Bond, Deputy Elmes, Detective Ken Charles and State Police Detective Powser responded to an apartment on Main Street in New Sharon regarding a report of a domestic disturbance, the suspect was reported to be armed. According the complainant who called 911, her husband Philip Howe (44) of New Sharon had been intoxicated for several days and that today he threatened physically harm to her. She also stated that he had currently left the residence and was armed with a handgun. As she was talking to dispatchers, Howe returned to the residence at which time she locked herself into the bathroom. Lt. St. Laurent arrived first at the scene and saw the suspect through a window pacing around inside. Upon Trooper Bond’s arrival the man exited the residence and was taken into custody by both St. Laurent and Bond. The handgun was found close by. Mr. Howe was charged with Domestic Violence Terrorizing Class C and Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person Class C. He was transported to Jail and is being held without bail. Deputy McCormick is the lead investigator of the case and is still conducting follow ups. This is another example of Deputies and Troopers working together in Franklin County to resolve potentially serious incidents peacefully.

1/29/2019 - 2129hrs, Deputy McCormick and Sgt. Bean responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on The Avon Valley road in Avon. Upon arrival they encountered the complainant who was extremely intoxicated and could not articulate exactly what the problem was. A boyfriend there was interviewed extensively and admitted there had been an argument. No charges were filed.

1/30/2019 - 1020hrs, Sgt. Scovil responded to the Mercer Road in New Sharon regarding a complaint of a box truck weaving on the road way traveling west bound. Scovil was unable to make contact with the vehicle.

1/30/2019 - 1222hrs, Sgt. Scovil investigate a report of abandoned dogs at a residence on the Chandler Road in Strong. It was reported by the complainant that the owner has not been home for days and you could hear dogs barking inside. The owner was located and explained she had been staying at a boyfriend’s house bout could not have the dogs there. She stated she checks on them daily.

1/30/2019 - 2101hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a 911 call at a residence on the Pope Road in Chesterville. Deputy Morgan determined that everything was secure and that it was a misdial.

1/31/2019 - 0937hrs, Deputy Scovil responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on the Mercer Road in New Sharon. As a result of the investigation he driver was summonsed to court for operating with a suspended license.

1/31/2019 - 1722hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a car vs. deer accident on Mile Square Road in Avon. The deer died at the scene the car sustained reportable damage.

1/31/2019 - 1611hrs, Sgt. Nate Bean was made aware of a 911 call regarding a bomb threat on a RSU 9 school bus, as a result all fire departments within the RUS 9 area were put on alert that buses with students may be arriving at their stations. There were only two buses with students, one of which went to the New Sharon Fire Dept. the other traveled to the Starks Fire Dept. The students were removed, parents notified and the buses were cleared by bomb sniffing dogs. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was the primary investigating agency and as a result of their investigation located the suspect responsible for the incident who turned out to be a 10 year juvenile who was charged. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Farmington Police Department, Maine State Police, Somerset Sheriff’s Department, Somerset Regional Communication Center, Franklin County EMA, Somerset County EMA, Franklin Region Communication Center, Wilton Police Department, representatives from RSU 9 including Bus Garage staff and local area Fire Departments.

1/31/2019 - 1526hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a residence on the Carthage Road in Carthage where a parent wanted his 15 year old son removed from the residence who was being disruptive.

1/31/2019 - 2213hrs, Deputy Morgan arrested Michael Halle (50) from Summerfield Florida on three outstanding warrants while Mr. Halle was still incarcerated at the Jail.

2/1/2019 - 0630hrs, Deputy McCormick investigated a late report of an accident on Winter Hill Road in Carthage. No injuries were reported.

2/1/2019 - 0805hrs, Sgt. Scovil arrested Gerald Rocha (55) of Skowhegan on a Franklin County warrant while he was incarcerated at Somerset County Jail. He was transported to Franklin County Jail without incident.

2/1/2019 - 0746hrs, Deputy Elmes investigated a report of harassment at a residence on Evergreen lane in Industry. The complainant was being harassed by a neighbor via texts.

2/1/2019 - 0807hrs, Deputy McCormick investigated a report of an assault which was reported to of occurred at a residence on the New Vineyard Road in New Vineyard. This assault was the result of a verbal altercation regarding one neighbor’s dog being on the property of the assault victim. When the dog’s owner was confronted he assaulted the complainant. The dog was moved to another home and both parties were issued no trespass warnings against each other.

2/1/2019 - 1252hrs, Deputy Scovil investigated a report of vandalism on Dutch Gap Road in Chesterville. It was reported that the complainant’s car had been “Keyed”.

2/1/2019 - 2000hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to the Dutch Gap road in Chesterville regarding a report of gunfire near some homes located there.

2/1/2019 - 2238hrs, Deputy Doucette conducted a traffic stop on the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon. As a result of the stop the driver was charged with attaching false plates and violation of conditions of release.

2/2/2019 - 0229hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on West Mills Road in Industry. As a result of the investigation the driver Johnathon Andrews (22) of New Vineyard was arrested for OUI and transported to jail.

2/2/2019 - 0900hrs Sgt. Scovil investigated a report of harassment that originated in Belgrade.

2/2/2019 - 1901hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a report of a vehicle weaving on the Mercer Road in New Sharon. Sgt. Brann located the vehicle and did not see it drive erratically.

2/3/2019 - 1109hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a report of a 911 hang up complaint at a residence on Eustis Ridge road in Eustis.

2/3/2019 - 1401hrs, Sgt. Scovil and Deputy Elmes responded to a report of a disturbance between parents and an adult son. The father and his Son had an argument because the elderly parent would not take the son on a beer run before the Super bowl. No charges were filed.

2/3/2019 - 1833hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a responded of a disturbance on Wheeler Hill Road in Phillips. As a result of the investigation, John Pillsbury (55) of Phillips was arrested for Aggravated criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and operating with a suspended license and transported to jail.

2/3/2019 - 2217hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a report of a disturbance between two men at a residence on Pleasant Street in Phillips. Neither of the men wanted to pursue charges against the other.

2/4/2019 - 0835hrs, Deputy Elmes received a late report of a car vs. deer accident which was alleged to of occurred on Maple Street in Kingfield.

2/4/2019 - 1141hrs, Lt. St. Laurent investigated a report of a jail inmate making contact with a prohibited person by telephone. Charges are pending.

2/4/2019 - 1330hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a report of a tractor trailer accident on route 27 in Coburn Gore. The Canadian driver was not injured and had run off the road.

2/4/2019 - 1438hrs, Sgt. Scovil received an animal complaint in Phillips, the complainant was advised that she would have to contact the town to deal with it.

2/4/2019 - 1709hrs, Deputy McCormick assisted a stranded motorist on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon.

2/4/2019 - 1710hrs, Deputy Doucette assisted Carrabassett Police with an intoxicated driver.

2/4/2019 - 1739hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a building alarm at Kingfield Sports Outlet n Kingfield. The building was secure.

2/5/2019 - 0834hrs, Sgt. Bean assisted a fuel truck driver whose truck was off the road in a snowbank on Main Street in Kingfield.

2/5/2019 - 0954hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a building alarm at the old Franklin Somerset Credit Union in Eustis. It was a faulty alarm.

2/5/2019 - 1337hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a possible fraud on Polar Road in Kingfield. It turned out to be a civil issue where the complainant stated that an employee charged merchandise from a local vendor on the complainants account. A process was already started for repayment, this turned out to be a civil issue.

2/5/2019 - 1800hrs, Deputy Doucette conducted a traffic stop on the Fairbanks Road in Farmington, as a result of the stop the driver Nicholas Walker (23) of Strong was arrested for attaching false registration plates to a motor vehicle.

2/5/2019 - 2156hrs, Sgt. Brann assisted a motorist who had run off the road into a snow bank on the Pond Loop Road in Wyman Twp.

2/6/2019 - 0913hrs, Deputy Morgan and Sgt. Bean responded to the Howard Road in Salem Twp. regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, David Eaton (59) was arrested for Domestic Violence Terrorizing and Criminal Mischief and transported to jail.

2/6/2019 - 1028hrs, Sgt. Bean assisted the town of Phillips with an animal complaint on Wheeler Hill Road.

2/6/2019 - 2026hrs, Sgt. Brann responded to a residence on Park Street in Phillips regarding a mental health emergency. Brann transported a juvenile to FMH for evaluation.

2/7/2019 - 1321hrs, Deputy Morgan assisted Rangeley Police with a child custody complaint.

2/7/2019 - 1940hrs, Deputy Doucette responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on the Salem Road in Salem. No injuries were reported.

Deputies conducted 41 building checks during this time period all were secure, Deputies also conducted 20 Elder Checks.

  1. So when the person in Kingfield refused medical treatment after being administered narcan does that mean we the tax payers can refuse to help someone the next time they o.d. because they obviously don’t want help they just want to ruin their life or die ?

  2. So sad to read so many of these reports, and anyone with half a brain can see that the m majority of them are drug or alcohol related. "In a hand-basket" people, "in a "hand-basket." sad but true.
