Franklin County Sheriff’s Department weekly report for June 19 – July 3, 2015:

6/19/2015 Deputy Nicholas Zecher investigated an alleged sex offense complaint in Phillips. It appears to be a custody issue; no crime involved.

6/19/2015 Deputy Zecher investigated a two-car accident in Township E. No injuries were reported.

6/19/2015 Deputy Matt Brann responded to South Shore Drive in Rangeley Plt reference an alarm. All was secure.

6/20/2015 Deputy Zecher investigated a harassment complaint on West Kingfield Road. A 13-year-old has been receiving harassing texts on her phone.

6/20/2015 Deputy Kevin Hartley responded to Dodge Road in Phillips for a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle.

6/20/2015 Deputy Hartley and Cpl. Nathan Reid responded to Ross Road in Phillips regarding a request to have a man removed from his father’s residence. He was gone upon their arrival.

6/21/2015 Deputy Andrew Morgan assisted State Police in locating a person in New Sharon.

6/21/2015 Deputy Brann responded to Borough Road in Chesterville for a disturbance call. As a result of the investigation Brann arrested Alison Decastro, 36, of Wilton, on a charge of violation of conditions of release.

6/22/2015 Deputy Brann investigated a report of fraud at 5-K Pizza in Avon.

6/22/2015 Deputy Morgan investigated a child custody dispute in Carthage.

6/22/2015 Deputy Morgan investigated a child custody dispute on Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon.

6/22/2015 Deputy Hartley responded to Snowy Ridge Road in Phillips regarding problems with neighbors.

6/23/2015 Deputy Sandy Burke responded to Route 2 in Carthage for a two-vehicle accident; no injuries were reported.

6/23/2015 Deputy Colt Bernhardt investigated a harassment complaint on the Pit Road in Industry.

6/23/2015 Deputy Bernhardt responded to a truck vs. deer accident on Route 4 in Strong.

6/23/2015 Deputy Zecher investigated another complaint that a local resident stealing jars of money from stores in Phillips that were set aside to pay for a deceased person’s funeral costs.

6/23/2015 Deputy Brann investigated a report of a car being driven in an aggressive manner.

6/24/2015 Deputy Bernhardt investigated a report of prescription drugs and money being stolen from a residence on the Rangeley Road in Avon.

6/25/2015 Deputy Brann investigated a misuse of 911 complaint on Avon Valley Road in Avon.

6/25/2015 Deputy Burke while on routine patrol through Farmington witnessed a pedestrian walk in front of a vehicle on Route 2 near the Smoke Shop and was hit by the vehicle. The person received minor injuries and was alleged to have been intoxicated at the time of the accident.

6/25/2015 Deputy Brann investigated a report of theft of prescription drugs on Avon Valley Road in Avon. The complainant’s doctor was notified.

6/25/2015 Corporal Bean assisted DHHS and helped them remove children from Pinkham Hill Rd in Phillips.

6/25/2015 Deputy Burke assisted Wilton police with a domestic disturbance at Arkay Trailer Park in Wilton.

6/26/2015 Deputy Bernhardt investigated a complaint of harassment on Chesterville Hill Road in Chesterville.

6/26/2015 Deputy Bernhardt investigated a report of trespassing on the Adams Road in Chesterville.

6/26/2015 Deputy Morgan responded to a report of suspicious activity on Locke Pond Road in Chesterville. The complainant claims that unknown persons are camping near/on his property.

6/26/2015 Deputy Bernhardt investigated a theft of a gas grill on the Carthage Road in Carthage.

6/27/2015 Cpl. Chris Chase investigated a child custody complaint on the Smith Road in New Sharon.

6/28/2015 Deputy Burke investigated a gas drive-off complaint at Anni’s Market in Kingfield.

6/28/2015 Deputy Morgan arrested Arthur Knight on a warrant on Park Street in Phillips.

6/28/2015 Deputy Morgan responded to Salem Road in Salem for a 911 hang up complaint. Apparently a child was playing with the phone.

6/28/2015 Deputy Hartley responded to an alarm at Anni’s Market in Kingfield.

6/30/2015 Deputy Hartley investigated a theft on West Mills Road in Industry; the incident involved a check cashing scam.

6/30/2015 Deputy Zecher and Deputy Brann responded to the Pine Road in Kingfield regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, Tory Young, 18, of Kingfield, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault, class D and violating conditions of release, a class E crime.

6/30/2015 Deputy Zecher assisted State Police with attempting to locate a suicidal female who may have been in route to a relative’s residence on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon. The female was not found.

6/30/2015 Cpl. Nate Bean investigated a report of a missing person from Bray Hill Road in Phillips. Investigation revealed that the missing person had left in a car several days before and was reportedly headed for Rhode Island. However, deputies located her in Bethel.

6/30/2015 Deputy Morgan received a report of a car driving all over the road in Phillips. Morgan found the responding vehicle parked at the Phillips Library. The driver reportedly stated she was on medication for depression. She was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

7/1/2015 Deputy Morgan responded to Dallas Plt. The complainant called to report that her foster child was out of control and has been assaulting other family members. The complainant stated that she can no longer control the child and asked for her not to return. She was transported to the hospital by Northstar ambulance.

7/1/2015 Deputy Hartley conducted a welfare check on Dallas Hill Road in Dallas Plantation.

7/1/2015 Deputy Hartley assisted State Police with a burglary at Our Village Market in New Vineyard.

7/2/2015 Deputy Zecher investigated a report of harassment on the River Road in Madrid. A juvenile was being harassed by another juvenile via Facebook.

7/2/2015 Deputy Hartley responded to a report of speeding pickup trucks on Route 142 in Salem. He was able to find the offending vehicles and issued multiple summonses for a variety of violations.

Deputies conducted 11 Elder Checks during this period. Deputies conducted 134 building checks during this reporting period, all were secure.
