Franklin County Sheriff’s Department weekly report for Nov. 7 – 14, 2014:

11/14/2014 Deputy Colt Bernhardt conducted a welfare check on the River Road in Avon.

11/14/2014 Cpl. Chris Chase responded to a car vs. deer accident on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon. Deer died at scene, car was towed.

11/14/2014 Deputy Sandy Burke assisted Farmington police with a report of a male dressed in camouflage that had stopped at a residence inquiring the time. The man was described as having a long black beard and carrying a camouflage backpack. The man was seen hiding in the woods when a car drove by, this occurred in the evening.

11/15/2014 Deputy Burke responded to a car vs. deer accident on West Mills Road in Industry. The deer died at the scene, and reportable damage occurred to the car.

11/15/2014 Cpl. Chase assisted Wilton police with domestic disturbance on Temple Road in Wilton.

11/15/2014 Cpl. Nate Reid investigated a report of possible stalking on Ledge Drive in New Vineyard.

11/15/2014 Deputy Bernhardt, Cpl. Chase and Cpl. Nate Bean investigated a domestic disturbance on Chesterville Hill Road in Chesterville. The complainant went to the residence of her ex’s (Kristopher Allen) parents to pick up her two children. While she was there she served Allen with civil paperwork which reportedly enraged Allen. At that point, according to the police report, he produced an SKS assault rifle and threatened her with it. He was later arrested in Wilton on Main St. without incident at the residence of his current girlfriend. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and domestic violence terrorizing, both Class C felonies.

11/15/2014 Cpl. Bean assisted the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop in New Sharon.

11/16/2014 Deputy Bernhardt while conducting a routine patrol stop on the Wilton Road in Chesterville arrested Brandon Hall, 22, of Jay on four active warrants.

11/16/2014 Deputy Burke investigated a harassment complaint on Olde Parkway Road in Kingfield. The complainant called to report that his ex-girlfriend’s father texted him and told him he knew where he lives. No real threats were articulated.

11/17/2014 Detective Ken Charles arrested Angela McKenna-Mason, 36, of New Sharon on several warrants while at a local business in Farmington. Farmington police arrived and transported her to jail.

11/17/2014 Cpl. Reid responded to an accident on Salem Road in Freeman Twp. There was property damage only no injuries.

11/17/2014 Deputy Kevin Hartley responded to a single vehicle accident on the Salem Road in Salem. No injuries.

11/17/2014 Sheriff Scott Nichols, Sr. assisted State Police with a single vehicle accident on the Mercer Road in New Sharon where the driver was transported Franklin Memorial Hospital for head injuries.

11/17/2014 Cpl. Bean responded to a tractor trailer accident on Route 27 in Alder Stream Twp. There were no injuries, however the road was blocked by the accident.

11/17/2014 Deputy Burke responded to Pine Road in Kingfield regarding a domestic disturbance. Burke ended up transporting one of the parties involved to Franklin Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

11/18/2014 Deputy Burke investigated a single vehicle accident on Route 27 in Chain of Ponds Twp. No injuries.

11/18/2014 Deputy Bernhardt arrested Kristopher Allen of Wilton on a charge of violation of conditions of release.

11/19/2014 Deputy Andrew Morgan responded to a car vs. deer accident on Route 4 in Avon; the deer ran off, reportable damage to the vehicle.

11/19/2014 Deputy Hartley arrested Donald Martin of Eustis on a charge of driving with a revoked license on Main Street in Eustis.

11/19/2014 Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a car off the road on the Lexington Road in Kingfield. There was no damage to the vehicle.

11/19/2014 Deputy Morgan investigated a civil complaint on Park Street in Phillips.

11/20/2014 Cpl. Reid arrested Nicole Waas on a charge of driving with a revoked license on Route 4 in Avon.

11/20/2014 Deputy Hartley investigated a bad check compliant at Phillips Hardware in Phillips.

11/20/2014 Deputy Hartley arrested Arthur Knight of Park Street in Phillips on a warrant.

11/20/2014 Deputy Morgan arrested Glenn Rackliffe on a charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person after Morgan conducted a traffic stop on the Town Farm Road in Farmington. Rackliffe was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped.

11/20/2014 Deputy Hartley arrested Clifford Cavanaugh of Main Street in Phillips on a warrant.

11/20/2014 Deputy Hartley arrested Brent Adams of Pleasant Street in Phillips on a warrant.

11/20/2014 Deputy Burke investigated a report of a suspicious male on West Kingfield Road in Kingfield. A man with a hoodie and baseball cap was reported to be standing near the end of the driveway looking at the complainant and her child. The complainant called again two hours later reporting the male may be in the house. Burke returned and continued his search with no results. No other reports have been received, however patrols have been notified in the area.

11/20/2014 Cpl. Chase stopped a car on Route 2 in Wilton on a traffic violation charge and as a result arrested Patrick Catherwood of Jay on charges of operating under the influence and operating with a revoked license.

Deputies conducted 107 building checks during this time period finding one unsecure.
