Franklin County Sheriff’s Department weekly report for Jan. 16 – 23, 2015:

1/19/2015 Deputy Nicholas Zecher responded to Morrison Hill Road/ Route 2 in Carthage for a report of several vehicles off the road due to icy road conditions.

1/19/2015 Deputy Colt Bernhardt responded to a report of a car crashing into a barn on the Brahmer Road in New Vineyard.

1/19/2015 Deputy Sandy Burke assisted State Police who requested assistance in searching for theft suspects in Carthage.

1/19/2015 Cpl. Chris Chase investigated a car vs. deer accident on Foster Hill Road in Freeman Twp. No damage to the car, the deer ran off.

1/19/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to two different reports of erratic driving on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon. One of the subjects was found, it was determined that the driver was having issues with the car, no alcohol involved.

1/19/2015 Deputy Burke investigated a report of erratic driving on the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon.

1/20/2015 Lt. David St. Laurent and Deputy Zecher arrested Jerome Cole of Strong on a warrant.

1/20/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to an alarm on Hill Top Road in Chesterville, all was secure.

1/21/2015 Deputy Burke responded to the Lucy Knowles Road in Chesterville regarding a complaint of an erratic driver.

1/20/2015 Cpl. Chase and K-9 “Abby” assisted Wilton police with a request for a drug search.

1/21/2015 Deputy Kevin Hartley responded to the South Strong Road in Farmington to assist Farmington police with an unattended death investigation.

1/21/2015 Deputy Bernhardt and Cpl. Chase responded to West Mills Road in Industry regarding an unattended death investigation.

1/21/2015 Deputy Hartley investigated a report of harassment on Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon

1/21/2015 Detective Ken Charles is investigating a report of sexual assault in Phillips.

1/22/2015 Cpl. Nate Reid responded to a 911 hang-up complaint on the Valley Road in Chesterville.

Deputies conducted four Elder Checks and 31 building checks during this reporting period, five buildings were found unsecure.
