  1. “complaint of excessively overdue books at the New Sharon Public Library”, wow, may need back up.

  2. @Not feeling the bern – Public service is public service, it’s not all about arresting people, and theft is theft. Keeping books that are not yours is stealing. Just like a lot of other non-violent, non-drug related crimes, they all have to be investigated. You should be proud that we live in an area where your police will still take care of such minor inconveniences for you; there are a lot of places in this country where you get an automated directory when you call and they point you to a website to fill out a complaint form. I’m proud our Sheriff’s Office treats all of our citizens with dignity.

  3. Amen Couch Warrior!!! Perhaps if more attention was paid to the small, petty, seemingly unimportant issues we would have less crime and larger issues.

  4. Couch Warrior, a lesson in sarcasm may help. Thank you for being the voice of the sheriffs department.
