Franklin County sheriff’s weekly report: Pellet stove reported stolen

Franklin County Sheriff’s Department weekly report for Feb. 20 – 27, 2015:

2/20/2015 Cpl. Nate Reid responded to the Swamp Road in Temple regarding a report of a disturbance. No charges were filed.

2/21/2015 Deputy Nicholas Zecher assisted Mexico police with an investigation.

2/22/2015 Deputy Sandy Burke responded to a two-vehicle accident on Dallas Hill Road in Dallas Plt. There were no injuries.

2/22/2015 Deputy Burke responded to a 911 hang up complaint on Olde Parkway Road in Kingfield. This was an accidental dial by the homeowner who was setting up a new phone.

2/22/2015 Deputy Colt Bernhardt and Deputy Zecher responded to Main Street in Kingfield to remove a male from the residence there.

2/22/2015 Deputy Bernhardt stopped a pickup for a traffic violation in New Sharon only to discover it had a stolen inspection certificate. The sticker was stolen from a theft in Randolph that is currently under investigation by the State Police from Troop D who have been called in regarding the find.

2/22/2015 Deputy Kevin Hartley investigated a gas drive-off complaint at Anni’s Market in Kingfield.

2/22/2015 Deputy Zecher assisted Trooper Reid Bond in transporting a family whose vehicle had broken down on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon.

2/22/2015 Deputy Bernhardt investigated a complaint that people were pushing snow into the River Road in Phillips.

2/23/2015 Deputy Burke responded to a 911 hang up complaint on High Street in Phillips; it was determined to be a pocket dial.

2/24/2015 Deputy Hartley investigated an alleged theft on Eustis Ridge Road in Eustis. The complainant claimed somebody had stolen his 110-pound pellet stove.

2/24/2015 Deputy Matt Brann investigated a report of a driver passing a stopped school bus in Kingfield.

2/24/2015 Deputy Hartley conducted a welfare check on the Dodge Road in Phillips.

2/25/2015 Detective Zecher responded to a complaint of trespassing on Eustis Village Road in Eustis. The complainant wanted the sheriff’s department to throw his relative out of a residence where they both live.

2/26/2015 Deputy Hartley arrested Brandon Virgin on a warrant in Phillips.

2/26/2015 Deputy Hartley arrested Oscar Thompson on a warrant in Phillips.

2/27/2015 Cpl. Nate Bean responded to Pine Point Road in New Vineyard regarding a disturbance complaint. The ex-husband locked his ex-wife out of the house, but she figured a way inside and attempted to get her belongings from the residence while simultaneously having a dispute with another relative. No charges were filed.

2/27/2015 Deputy Zecher investigated a theft complaint on Edelheid Road in Sandy River Plt.

Deputies conducted 6 Elder Checks during this period. Deputies conducted 35 building checks during this reporting period, all were secure.

  1. Sounds like a quiet week for the Sheriff’s department. Let’s all hope that this week will also be tame.
